No Liability Policy:

The client is solely responsible for his/her decisions, interpretations drawn form services and all consequences resulting directly or indirectly from them. The client also understands these services are not performed by a medical doctor or psychologist.

Laying on of Hands:

Reiki and other energy body work involves laying on of hands that is done without the client disrobing. By accepting services from Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr, you (the client) understands this and agrees to communicate any and all areas of prior or current injury or areas you wish not to be touched. Ignite the Light, LLC practitioners and/or Phaedra Starr will discuss this prior to beginning any hands on energy work. Energy work can be stopped and discontinued in full or in part at any time based on the client’s comfort levels.

Effects of Energy Work: 

Most clients feel a sense of release and relaxation after energy work. Clients can also feel drowsy after a session. Energy work can also bring up trauma, past life or current life repressed memories. Please plan accordingly for self care. It is not recommended to drink alcohol for 24-48 hours after a session. It is also recommended to listen to your body and rest. With intense sessions, it is possible to get “ascension” flu.  Click here to learn signs, symptoms and self-care recommendations. By accepting services from Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr, you agree to hold harmless Ignite the Light, LLC, Phaedra Starr and any of their associated companies, employees or assistants.

Payment: 

Full payment is required to reserve your appointment. If any special arrangements have been made, Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr reserve the right to charge late fees and/or cancel any future appointments until account is in good standing.

Tardiness: 

Should you be tardy for an appointment, the session will still end at the regularly scheduled time or may be extended based on the Ignite the Light, LLC or Phaedra Starr’s discretion. Based on length of tardiness, some energy work sessions will not be able to be completed so the balance of time remaining will be used for intuitive coaching/talk session. 

Payment for Classes and Groups:

Payment must be made in full no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the time of the first session. Unless otherwise stated at time of enrollment, full refunds are available for class cancellations done 14 days in advance for most classes. Enrollment is based on availability and payment. No refunds or credits are available for missed classes. Terms and conditions for subscription based programs or Apprenticeship programs will be set forth at time of enrollment for those programs.

Crisis Intervention:

Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr do not provide crisis intervention services. If you are experiencing a life threatening or mental health emergency, please call 911, your local emergency center or local police department. 

Use of Services: 

Services rendered by Ignite the Light, LLC or Phaedra Starr are not intended to replace formal and contracted medical, mental health, addiction recovery, legal, financial or other professional services from an appropriately licensed or credentialed provider. Nor are they intended treat, diagnose or cure any medical or psychological illness or disease. 

Age Policy:

You must be at least 18 years of age to utilize any services from Ignite the Light, LLC or Phaedra Starr. On occasion or special circumstances, people under the age of 18 may be able to work with us with consultation and signed consent by all legal guardians.

Confidentiality:

The content of sessions, classes and groups will be treated confidentially with a few exceptions. These include: perceived risk of harm to self or others, failure to make proper and timely payments, efforts to correct misrepresentation of services or communications, and other reasons deemed by professional discretion. Energy work and intuitive coaching are not subject to federal HIPPA laws or guidelines set forth by any professional licensing board.  Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr may speak publicly or write for publication about themes that arise in your sessions. In such cases, your name and personally identifying details will be changed or omitted.  

Rescheduling:

When booking an appointment, you are reserving professional time. Ignite the Light, LLC practitioners and Phaedra Starr may plan around your appointment and have preparation work to assure the best possible outcome for your session. In the event you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must provide at least 24 hours notice via phone message or email. Cancellations or rescheduled appointments within 24 hours will not be refunded nor applied to future services. 

Right to Refuse Services:

Ignite the Light, LLC and Phaedra Starr reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services with anyone at any time.  In some cases, you may be referred to another professional whom is deemed better suited to work with you.
